The lower chamber features i-beam, air-filled channels that provide a stable base. The upper chamber allows your guest to adjust according to personal preference for a great night's sleep. Set-up is straightforward. Just plug in the integrated pump, and inflates the mattress in minutes. Tuck your standard twin-sized sheets as you would around any mattress, and the plush surface holds them firmly in place. Store the power cord inside the specially-designed pump to safeguard your guest from tripping in the dark. In the morning, simply set the pump to automatically deflate. Comments about Intex Twin Supreme Air-Flow Air Mattress with Built-in Pump:

This bed is being used every night by different individuals at my church. We host a winter (3 month) homeless shelter. While some church staff remain awake at all times, the bed is used to allow some staff to sleep. So far, it has been great. Before I took this mattress in, staff had to sleep on tiny floor cushions. Several people have made comments on how comfortable it is. One said it was like "floating on a river". I love the height because as one gets older, it is too hard to get up and down from the floor. Each person has their own idea of comfort, so some let a little air out and others add some air. I haven't tried to deflate it yet, but I expect it to work great.

Comments about Intex Twin Supreme Air-Flow Air Mattress with Built-in Pump:

We use for company and as an everyday bed. It is nice and firm, similar to a regular springs and matteress. The only thing bad about it, is that it's heavy to transport, but the comfort of it out weighs the heaviness.

Comments about Intex Twin Supreme Air-Flow Air Mattress with Built-in Pump:

I purchased this product to leave with my parents so that I would have a bed to use when I visit them. I was surprised at how heavy the twin size was but I also feel that having a heavier gauge product should result in fewer accidental punctures. You have to also remember the inside support system of the mattress adds quite a bit to the weight. The weight is only a concern in that my very elderly parents would not be able to easily lift it but this was not a problem for myself. I purchased this mattress and had it delivered directly to my parents house. I left it with them for me to use anytime I go to visit them in the future. It was inflated and left inflated for a full two weeks during my first use. I like a softer bed so I did not inflate it to full capacity which would have been firmer than I prefer. I also put a 1.5 inch memory foam on top of the mattress for additional softness. I did find however that the mattress did lose some air and did require me to add additional air several times over the two weeks I was there. I am not sure if the air loss was due to the valve only or whether it was due to my not filling the mattress to a really firm capacity. By only using a softer firmness it may be that every time I got up and down from the mattress it may have allowed the valve to open and close momentarily due to insufficient air pressure behind it. If this is the reason why it lost some air I never did hear any escape of air so it was a very gradual loss that was occurring and would have been dependant on how often I got up and down during the night. The mattress never fully deflated but instead only became too soft even for my preferences and required me to add additional air which only took 10 to 15 seconds to bring it back up to where I wanted it to be. Some more expensive mattresses may add air as needed automatically but this one requires you to manually turn the pump on and off. I do not find this to be a big enough problem to make me regret my purchase since I felt the price I paid was and is a good value for what I got and I would make the same purchase again. It would have cost me at least twice as much or more for a mattress with an auto dectection inflation feature and I actually own one of those mattresses in a queen size which I keep on hand for when company comes to my house so I feel like I am able to make a fair comparison between the two types based on my experiences. Deflating this mattress was easy and just took a few minutes. From experience I find it best to hold up the end of the mattress with the valve to be sure that all the air is removed from the far end first and the valve end at the last. You will never get the mattress to fold up as compactly as it was when it came out of the box due to the stiffness of the material and the type of support system inside the mattress but it can still be folded to a little less than twice the size of the original box it came in for storage purposes. When all is said and done I find I would recommend this mattress to my friends.

Comments about Intex Twin Supreme Air-Flow Air Mattress with Built-in Pump:

I BOUGHT THIS MATTRESS KNOWING THAT I NEEDED IT FOR A MOUNTAIN BIKING WEEKEND WHERE A BUNCH OF US RENTED A HOUSE BUT NOT ENOUGH BEDS TO GO AROUND. I INFLATED THIS BED AND MADE IT ALL UP AND LAYED ON IT AND JUST FELL IN LOVE WITH IT. VERY COMFORTABLE. ALTHOUGH I DID PLACE A FEATHER QUILTED COMFORTER UNDER THE SHEETS SO NOT TO FEEL THE INDENTIONS FROM THE MATTRESS. NOT SURE IF YOU WOULD EVEN NOTICE THE INDENTIONS BUT I WAS JUST THINKING AHEAD IN CASE. AS I SAT ON SOME OF THE BEDS IN THE HOUSE THEY WERE HARD AND NOT VERY COMFORTABLE. THIS BED IS ALSO EASY TO GET UP OUT OF SINCE IT IS DOUBLE HIGH AND HELPS WITH THE OLDER WE ARE. ( I AM 57). I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE NEEDING AN EXTRA BED FOR WHAT EVER REASON.
